I want to get an iPhone and use it as my only phone for voice and data.
I want to travel around the world and europe with this phone but not be screwed with massive charges for voice and data.
I want to have one UK +44 number that people can dial and that gets sent as my caller ID - CID.
I would be happy if I had a local mobile number in each country ONLY if that number would redirect to my iPhone no matter where I was and not only if I was in the country associated with that number.
I'm happy to buy local PAYG SIMs but I want to use voice and data.
Any ideas?...
Seems like I can buy an official unlocked iPhone and then buy PAYG SIMs in each country I visit. How do I get around CID issue?
I should be able to get cheap local data access with PAYG SIMs.
What about calling cards? Do they help with voice charges?
What about http://www.truphone.com ?
